The replacement remote works great so the original must have just been defective.I gave the EU timer to my coach as a gift for his new MMA gym. The remotes keep breaking - they literally fall apart. I'm embarrassed my gift was so cheap. Timer works great though - the remote is what sucks. Of course, it's also only $8.
