While there are dimensions provided in the item description, this sand timer is MUCH LARGER than expected. Other than that, it is just what we needed.I got these to help manage time for my little one. 2 minutes for brushing teeth and the rest for other tasks. They work fine but one of them - the 5 min one isn’t accurateWell made, performs as advertised and expected.Bought a 60 min hourglass and it was pretty accurate.For this price it doesn't look so cheap. The external cylinder is made of plastic. I am not sure if if the actual hourglass is made of glass.Surprisingly, the 5 inch height is very apt. Value for money.Helps me make sure I'm brushing the full two minutes! Not just for kids! :-) Fairly waterproof, too, though I haven't submerged it in water or anything.I use my pretty 5-minute sand glass with purple sand. Good price.Just got it. Sat down at my desk and measured the sand timer with my hour timer on my computer. It was accurate to less than a minute. Very good IMO. Hopefully the glass is sealed and will stay accurate.
