I had never heard of the La Gourmet brand but it ticked all the boxes in terms of size, functionality and price. My use is limited to basic toasting/heating versus cooking and thankfully what was described online is what was delivered. Note: There's a ticking sound once timer is set then a bell when time is complete. This for me, is a positive, but may annoy others.Pros: Decent quality, looks good on counter and toasts both sides of bread wellCons: There is no 'toaster setting per se (all settings are a function of time and heat), tray does not automatically slide out when opening door but a utensil to pull tray is providedWorst con: Once toaster time is set you can't change it!
