Looks and works great once it’s set up. Can’t skip a step of the set up instructions.Sensor got damaged during a hail storm and it stopped displaying correctly. We had to set it up again from scratch which is difficult enough WITH the display working correctly. Other than that, it looks and works great.For the price it opens and closes easy. If you have a flash light it does open so be careful not working great for two months. I don’t have to be home or around everyday and my chickens are safe.I was super excited. We got it installed and it worked for a short time, but then it quite and we haven't been able to get it fixed. I wouldn't buy it again.Update 2/3/2022 the door no longer lowers without help . I’ve made sure the tracks are clean and the rails are loose , changed batteries, nothing worked until I figured out the door is too light so we took two strong magnets one on each side of the door and stuck them together with the door between, this seems to have created enough weight to help the door close thankfully since the only options I was given was to uninstall the entire door setup leaving a whole the coyotes could’ve gotten through and get a refund or replacement for the entire set ( they don’t replace just the box) or get $20 promotional credit .I’ve included pictures of the magnetsThis is my initial review left in early January when I first got the door :This door is easy toInstall I was able to do this alone without my husbands help (he was sick) there instructions tell you the size hole to cut and that’s the hardest part ! The chicken and myself areLoving this auto opener and door !Did the trick. Opens and closes at the set times. Installed it on my little tractor supply coop.Will update with a picture shortly.Before I purchased this product, I would have to go out every night after dusk and secure the chickens in the coup to protect them from local predators (racoons, possum, coyotes, bobcat, etc.). That also means that I would have to go out each morning close to dawn to let them out. I did this 7 days a week, 365 days a year. I can't possibly describe the enjoyment I got the morning after I installed this product. I actually got to sleep in. The product description said that the batteries would last 6-12 months. Mine lasted 3 years. I had to trim a few inches off of the torn twine and retie the door before I replaced the batteries. Totally worth the money!It opens great in the morning but has not closed at night. We have to manually close it. The instructions are limited and I’m having trouble adjusting the moon/sun or knowing where the sensor is. Even in complete darkness without artificial light, it stays open.It only took 10 minutes to install on the door opening. However we tried for a week to get the stupid thing programed! And it's still not right. We got the time set. But it's not clear how to move through the options. So we had the devil of a time trying to make it open at 7:30 am and close at dusk. Next time I will buy one the is easily programed. The metal is very shinny so it was difficult to see on our cameras if it was really shut. So we had many wasted trips to check it. Because the dang thing keep opening at odd hours and setting off the cameras motion sensors. We also had to replace the batteries and it's only been a month. We are going to have to get a different one.
