These little lights are much more efficient than I expected. To start, they are compact, a little smaller than an average lightbulb. They are made with hard plastic, so there's no risk of shattering. The LED lights make them very bright at the highest intensity, great for lighting whole rooms during blackouts or light your way when looking for things in the dark as a makeshift flashlight. The ability to dim these bulbs is great, too, but can only be done with the remote control, which also allows for you to automatically signal the lights to shut off after selected times. The base has a magnetic disc to keep the bulbs connected to them, but you can separate the two and use the rechargeable bulb as you need to without being tied down to a socket. Overall, these are so useful and practical. I wish there was a way to charge them while in the socket, but it's not so bad as the battery life on these has yet to disappoint.
