Well I read the reviews and saw many negative ones as well as some positive ones. I decided to take a chance that the production quality control varied so much that some people got the better quality result, some the poor quality ones and perhaps I'd get a good one.I hit the reverse jackpot and pretty much had all the negative issues. I used it for one day. No knocks, bangs or drops. Just regular games and treatment. Other than having to interpret from instructions that as people have mentioned seem to be a word for word translation of 4000 year old kanji symbols uncovered by archeologists in remote caves, and the semi-intuitive button actions I worked like a charm. One cross country meet where I used and recalled 8 split times and seven youth soccer games went by without incident. Then the next day I reached for it and:- The glass was fogged- The display had faded to unreadable- No response from any buttonAfter a day and a half of leaving it in the house to see if it would recover it's just the same.I'm *slightly* temped to purchase another on the basis that I got the awful quality dud so maybe I'd get a good one. One balance it's a no way.You can take a chance like I did, and if you do I hope you get a good one.On the other hand there are enough negatives for that to be a big risk.For the functions and price point it's a great concept. In practice it's almost certainly not going to work for you.**UPDATE**Now about an hour or two after getting it to check before writing the review it has started beeping randomly. At first there would be long pauses but now it's happening between 2-3 times per second and every 5 seconds.Wondering what it will come up with next before it gets picked up for the return journey...instructions for Referee time is missing some steps i had to figured out my self. Time should go up by increments of 5 minutes and not 1minute, since half starts at 20 minutes for U8. Also shy do minutes go up to 90 minutes? i do not know anyone that continue time for second half starting at 45 minutes.Its ok for what I bought it for, my son needed a watch to ref games with me and this watch would do. I would not buy this watch if you have been refereeing for a long time, this is for beginners.Worked great for 2 weeks, then the buttons stopped working. The display was still showing & working, but you couldn’t switch modes/control it. Changed the battery just to see if that was going bad, and then it quit working altogether.Watch arrived without instructions (which I expected, based on other reviews). It was easy enough to set up, and the buttons were more responsive than my other referee watch.However, within a week of receiving the watch, it started resetting the date and time on its own.After two weeks, the watch completely died. Changing batteries didn't help. I'm disappointed by the poor quality.I bought this one because the price was good , I use it as a spare , I have another one the same if you ref this is the oneToo many steps to operateAs described.Watch was okay, but is not resetting randomly. Sometimes in the middle of game, losing game time - critical issue. Don't get, manufacture is Chinese, no warranty information available on website and gives an international number to get support. Do yourself a favor and get a watch from a local manufacturer.As a referree I like simplicity in using my watch to help keep track of the time played. This watch does provide a clear display but the programming gets a bit of getting used to. Time will tell if this watch becomes part of my basic equipment.Very reliable watch.QUALITY IS NIT GOOD
