One minute broke same day. This happened with the other set I got, too.Seems it’s hard to make a sturdy one minute.I really like that they’re individually labeled with the minutes. I use the 1, 3, & 5 minute one for the calming corner in my 3rd grade classroom. They are perfect for individual students who need a visual timer to help complete tasks & transition.This set is a great mix of timers for a pretty good price. The size is great - easily portable and unobtrusive, but big enough to be visible across the room and substantial enough that you're not knocking them over all the time. In fact, their proportions and the rubber bases make it difficult to knock these over accidentally, which is a wonderful feature.The only improvement I would make would be to label or print them somehow that the "top" and "bottom" are distinguishable from each other. Sometime I'll set one on its side to "pause" the timer, and when I go to restart it, I can't remember which way was up.I got these for my classroom and they are very well made. Very pleased!I use these sand timers EVERY day in my classroom. They are accurate and easy for all my students to see versus the small ones.As titled, just listen to the negative reviews on this one. The timers with smaller count are seemingly accurate; however, the bigger timers should have a design rework. They should keep the 5 minute hole, but just put in more sand. With the waist becoming so narrow as they increase the amount of time it is supposed to take to get through, the sand inevitably gets stuck at some point. I’d gotten these for my sons piano practice, and to my disappointment the one I wanted personally for crafts and cooking got stuck. Besides that, the material is sturdy, but what’s the point if the whole reason anyone gets these is for accuracy?! There is none. Just look elsewhere for a reliable sand timer.
