Automate your drip system and enjoy worry-free watering with the Hose-End Automatic Water Timer. Programming your watering schedule is easy with the simple, straightward interface. Use the "How Long" dial to set frequency and the "How Often" dial to select run time. The Manual Water/Rain Delay dial allows for manual watering (for 3 to 90 minutes) or to postpone watering (from 24 to 72 hours). An indicator light blinks to confirm changes are made, so there's no need to second guess. The battery-operated timer signals when batteries are running low, and has a unique water-saving feature that turns the valve to the “off” position and stops the flow of water when batteries run out so water is not wasted. Drip irrigation systems are easy to customize, install, and operate. As part of a complete drip system, the Automatic Timer works with other Raindrip components for trouble-free watering solutions to help your plants grow and thrive. Raindrip is a leading manufacturer of drip and micro-irrigation solutions and the trusted brand of landscapers since 1972. Build, expand, or repair your system with our rigorously tested products designed to save you time and money.
Automate your drip system with scheduled run times, frequency, timed manual watering, and rain delay features
Works from a faucet or hose bibb; compatible with Garden Hose Thread (GHT), not British Standard Pipe Thread (BSP) connection point; use adapter (not included) to connect to desired supply tubing size
Three control dials: 1) set frequency; 2) set run time; 3) override scheduled program for rain delay (24 to 72 hours) or add timed manual watering without disrupting your programmed schedule; Delay button adjusts the start time; simply press until you reach your desired start time for watering (timer is set to start automatically)
Inlet connects directly to water source such as a faucet or hose bibb; outlet connects to appropriate adapter such as a Smart Loc Adapter to transition to supply tubing; Battery-operated timer indicates when batteries are running low; system turns valve to the “off” position when batteries run out, to prevent wasting water
Great sprinkler/hose timer for the price. VERY easy to program and install, but limited in flexibility. Impacts water pressure and, therefore, coverage area and number of sprinklers you can use at once.Programming -- One dial turns for MANUAL START minutes or RAIN DELAY hours. Second dial turns to set NUMBER of CYCLES within a 24 hour period -- NO CLOCK -- so your 24 hour period begins whenever you turn this dial. If that's at 2:22 pm and you've chosen 2 cycles every 24 hours, you'll get watering at 2:22 am and 2:22 pm. The third dial turns to set NUMBER of MINUTES each cycle will run.Installation -- Slide 2 AA batteries into the tray, screw the unit onto your hose bibb, set a dial or two, turn on the water, and you're done. I appreciated that there was no spray or leaking at the attachment points. The Manual Start feature can be used during installation to test sprinkler reach and coverage area.BE AWARE that this unit reduced water pressure noticeably. I recommend installing it BEFORE placing and adjusting sprinklers. If you do this afterwards as I did, you may need to start sprinkler set up over due to reduced water pressure and its impact. With our faucet on full blast, there was only enough pressure to run two pulsating sprinkler heads. Distance was reduced by 2-3 feet and rotation speed went down as well compared to performance before the RainDrip timer was installed. This was the case even though we regularly run 4-6 rotator/spray heads per zone with our irrigation system.I'd buy this again if I only needed a sprinkler or two.I bought 4 of these raindrip irrigation timers as "used like new" items. I used them for all summer this year. 3 has been working great. 1 has problem with automatic water timer (manual water timer was fine).Paid half price compare with new items, I can't be happier.so grateful to find a sprinkler timer that was easy to set up and it's worked well all summer!I’ve been using the older RainDrip timers for years and after one died, I got this newer model. It is easier to use and I like using this more. Unfortunately, the size is twice as big as their old model. This was my first time installing any kind of irrigation system. I used this timer for drip irrigation. I used 1/4” poly tubing with little emitters or holes every 6”. I connected that to 1/2 “ black poly tubing which then connects to the timer. Best garden decision I’ve ever made! I live in Louisiana and keeping up with watering annuals during the humid spring and summer can be very time consuming. While I like to water my plants, it just became more of a chore rather than something I enjoyed. I’m glad I finally made the decision to install the drip irrigation system. Now I don’t even have to worry about watering my garden beds, I can just concentrate on watering the containers I have. I’m not good with “technology” so I was very happy this model was not a digital timer. It’s super simple! There are two main knobs and one is for the hours(how many hours in between each watering) and the other knob is for how many minutes you want the water to run each day. And then there’s a third knob if you just want the setting on “manual”. It’s extremely user friendly and I’m very happy with my purchase! And for reference, I have had the timer for 4 months now and I haven’t had to change the batteries yetThis time is simple to set with separate dials for one-time waterings and schedules. I've written over the schedule numbers on the bottom as they are white on medium-green which is hard to read especially if you try to set the timer to run at night.Note that the timer starts immediately after setting the schedule and repeats on the hour based upon when it is set. It can be set to delay the start by pressing the delay button once for each hour you'd like to delay start. That's a bit cumbersome if you'd like to delay the start by 20 hours.I now have 5 of these in my yard! I found some used on Amazon for 1/2 the price. I got rechargable batteries to go with all of them (x2AA). Analog device that's super simple. No tacky digital displays. This works exactly as advertised and is helpful to automatically water set time duration, or to start manually and have it automatically turn off, avoiding over watering and excessive bills. Used it one month and very happy!
