Curious Chef 60-Minute Kids Kitchen Timer - Fun White & Green Cooking Timer for Children - Perfect for Baking, Homework & Playtime Activities

I initially bought this timer to use as a timeout keeper for my toddler. Since I'm a softy and rarely gives timeouts, we ended up using it as a way for my son to help with baking. He loved letting me know when the timer went off. The only problem is he timer didn't even last six months. I kept it atop the microwave and can't recall it ever being dropped but it just stopped working. The timer just ticks and ticks but the bell doesn't go off, or when it does not at the right time. Since cost was low I can't complain too much but not sure if I'd buy again.Bought this to try to help my 2 year old transition between good and "bad" activities etc. It's so easy and simple and pretty sturdy. He did manage to remove the knob when he first got a hold of it, but I put it back on and it works fine. The sound of the bell ringing is always a little bit of a surprise, my son usually gets startled a little bit so it's probably not the best thing to use for bed time routines. However, it is easy to clean and sturdy. Five minutes on the timer is approximately 5 minutes on the clock, too, but not always exact if you don't set it all the way. It's also great that it doesn't need batteries and has smooth surfaces! Btw I got a blue one, not green like the pic.This is a sturdy little timer and my particular one came in yellow. Not too big, the size is nice. The dial buzzes with a minute left on the timer (even though it is wound to 60 and then down to the desired time) so it is a bit off. For kids, it's a nice gadget but easily fits for regular kitchen use.Having to wind it all the way to 60 min first is hard for children to remember. And it's not especially accurate. Digital timers work better for our grands.I give it 5 stars because I can't think of anything wrong with it. I can't think of any timer that was better than this one in my life. I have to turn it to 60 minutes (all the way around) before setting it, but that hassle is found in other similar models. I have not dropped it yet, but it looks like it's sturdy enough to withstand a fall or two.Is easy for little people to use.Muy bueno eselenteI got these for the kids, as we use timers a lot with their schoolwork. My son dropped his pretty early on, and it stopped working. My daughter's lasted for several months, and then it stopped working. Definitely not sturdy enough for kids. I liked the dial, and they were cute, so I'm giving them a 2 for this product.great little timer design. with knob, and markings that won't get brushed by oily or dirty fingers and rub off. and even if they are obscured, it's easy to tell how much time it's set for. great in the kitchen, or for timing kids to limit their video game time. 10/10 would buy again. to set smaller time, turn past 30 and turn it back to 'wind' it properly.Although this product is labelled kids kitchen timer, I have no kids at least not small ones. But I use this product on a daily basis. So far so good. I bought this product because of the bell. I have trouble hearing the bell on my electric oven so I bought this product to replace it's timer, It works very well; the bell rings loud enough that I can easily hear it from any room in my home. I do recommend this product.doesn't do times below 5 minutes accurately. And yes I cranked it up to 55 and back down. I was hoping to use it for my son to be able to know when it was bedtime or dinner time etc, to give him a visual sense of the time we were talking about, but this is useless.It doesn't work for less than 5 minutes very well. And sometimes just stops ticking without ringing. For the price, it's fine. For brushing teeth which is what we bought it for it doesn' really work well.Ordered product twice and both times the item delivered did not work. There was no bell to let you know the timer had gone off. Usually love their products, but pass on the timer!
