These were definitely as advertised so no problems with the manufacturer or seller. However, it's my own fault that I read the listing wrong and thought these were taller pillar candles rather than cute miniature versions. (I think the price was right for the mini version, though.) I got a set of two. The colors are nice and the scent is definitely there. I didn't realize they used the little round button batteries or I would not have ordered them. We had a scare several years ago at a hotel, where we couldn't find a TV remote button battery and thought perhaps my then-toddler had swallowed one. We were told by poison control that if she had swallowed it, they would have had to open up her chest surgically to remove it from her so that it wouldn't burn a hole through her organs. So I take those batteries and their presence in my home pretty seriously! (Thankfully, we realized one of my teenagers had accidentally tucked the remote in his pocket and the battery had come loose in there.) The lighting is a little dim for my taste and I also found that the battery had to be tucked tight against the bottom of the candle for the light to get any brighter. The scent is very light; I expected it to be stronger. Having the candles switched to on or off does not seem to have any effect on the scent; it is simply built into the "candle" materials. So to sum up, okay product but not great and I would not order these again. Instead I bought a $5 candle warmer and melt real candles on those, which meets my goal of having flame-free scented candles in my work area without major worries about active kids knocking them over and causing major damage.
