I bought a used one from the warehouse and works great.Love this product. I have purchased 7 over the past two years. Two of them as gifts that they're still raving about them. All 7 have been performing as advertised. I use them with the built-in timers which adds a warm glow every evening. No remotes to lose. Each candle has a built-in timer. Guest always comment on their realistic appearance, & beauty. They take 2 D size batteries. Using them every evening I change the batteries 3x a year. The outer real wax is a nice quality. The flickering flame can be seen far across a large room or looking through a window from outside. I highly recommend this product above all others on the market. The flicker is almost hypnotic.I have purchased these candles in the past from a local gift store and they came with the batteries. I was willing to purchase the batteries separately but for some reason I am not able to get them. I ordered them from Amazon and then got an email saying they weren’t available but was not given a reason why.One of the four candles I did buy actually the outer part fell off it but I kind of glued it together. It definitely is the same name candle that I bought from a local gift shop but I feel like I got a rejected candle. I think this should be noted in the future for other consumers to purchase them.Love these candles. I have a few of them and love the timer that shuts them off after a few hours. Never worry about a real flame. The flame on these looks so real.Beautiful candle, beautiful flicker. The timer works great and keeps the batteries running for a few months!!The smaller diameter candles use C batteries and they don’t last quite as long as the D batteries in the 4” diameter candles.This is a marvelous product -- unlike other similar electric candles, the smell is not overpowering and does fade to a faint pleasant level. The flicker effect is extremely realistic, and the best I've seen -- it is mechanical: the tongue wiggles, and catches the LED light, at times casting attractive shadows and shapes. While other brands have a mechanical tongue, this movement on this one seems more natural. And the remote control makes it so easy to use if you don't want the 5 hour timer.
