I thought I had written a review of this already. I received my lights, but the moisture detector thing was defective. One of the prongs as crooked. I could have possibly opened the thing up and fixed it, but I didn't want to and honestly shouldn't have to. It wasn't any HUGE deal other than having spent money on this whole set-up (I really just wanted the lights). I ended up throwing the thing away.As others have said, the timer for the lights is kind of confusing, as well as the "brightness level" thing. From what I can tell, there are 4 settings for lights period. Off, red, blue and purple (which is red and blue together). There is not, that I have found, any BRIGHTNESS level, as far as turning the brightness down any. Thankfully it does not bother me too much, but might in the future if I get more.Something that has started happening recently, and I'm really really not happy about, is something that at least one other reviewed experienced. The timer is off. I have my lights turn on at 7 am and turn off at 7pm. Now, I don't know how off they are in the morning, or if they even are. I'm asleep. But, during the evening when they are meant to shut off, they are shutting off 5 minutes earlier than the timer set. Today, I readjusted the time to turn on 5 minutes earlier and turn off 5 minutes later (so 6:55 am on and 7:05 pm off). I SHOULDN'T be having to do this to compensate. Why the hell these lights do this is beyond me and seems to be some kind of cheaply made problem.I like the lights, don't get me wrong, they are cute and work for what I need them too, and HAVE helped my plants immensely. my pot of new Irish Shamrocks is sprouting like crazy, and my mature plant has lots of new sprouts too. I can't do anything about the fully grown leaves though, something happened to them and they just shrivel and don't seem to come back from that (could be hard water or..i don't know..). But the fact that I have a lot of new sprouts makes me happy.But again, buyer beware. You may have issues. Cheaply made moisture detector and timer. It works, but may not work properly for as long as it should.
