I had a similar timer years ago but the alarm got so quiet I couldn't hear it. So I bought something else in a big box store. I hated the new timer because if you wanted to time something for 10 minutes you had to press the minute button 10 times. It was really awful when I needed to time my hair color for 25 minutes. This timer is so much easier because I just tap 10 for 10 minutes or 25 for 25 minutes. So glad I researched another West Bend timer on Amazon because I found it. Went through about 10 years of annoyance with the other timer.
