I am a total novice at growing plants from seeds and have been totally delighted by the results. I purchased the product to start a wildflower garden from seeds. Instructions on some seed packages indicated that it could take 30-40 days to germinate. After 6 weeks in the refrigerator in a damp paper towel inside a plastic bag, I planted the seeds, 2-3 per cell, added water, placed on a heating pad, and turned on the grow light. I was surprised to see seeds germinate within 48 hours. At 10 days, all 50 cells had germinated and all but 3 appear to have healthy plants, which should be ready to transplant to larger containers in a few more days. In comparison, I "planted" 4 seed packets directly in the soil outside, resulting in only one viable plant. I might have simply spread dollar bills in the soil. One issue is that condensation inside the clear plastic cover runs down the sides of the cover and all over the table the the container sits on. This needs to sponged up once or twice daily. It would be helpful if the cover and base were designed to return the condensate to the base.
