I opened the package, put batteries in and was able to set it up super quickly. I played with the buttons a little bit to see what everything did, but there really was no reason. It works exactly as it should.I had hooked it up and ran it. No issues.My only recommendation is to set the times BEFORE connecting, otherwise it's a lot of bending. I connected it and then set the timers and have a bad back, so it was rough but it still wasn't bad. I like it better than the dial set ups.The page claims that the cover is water tight and so far that seems to be accurate.
