When i read corroded battery i thought few as it happens but in this case they are all corroded by leaked batteries. Manufactured from onwards 2013, it several years old,it came with cheap battery installed to make it worse. I gave it a shot an cleaned with baking soda paste and brushed it clean. and i followed afterwards with setup and use, i found two issues that makes it unusable. the range is not 100ft , but 5ft at my place,.the controller broadcasts signals once to turn on and off the plugs, if plugs dont get signal they dont turn on or off and remain in current state, second is the signal is sort of bluetooth or similar so it suffers from intereference easily, thats why i got about 5ft reliably and then it is just a lottery. it can be used only if controller is next or very close to plug only, and also very affected by radio interference ..i am just returning and get a non wireless unit. this worth just $2 or even less
