I love these candles. The flame looks real when they're turned on. The bottom part has room for two batteries. I use the remote control to turn them off and on. They work when you turn each light on first at their bottom. I saw many reviews that they don't work, but they do if you follow the clear directions. They can't work when not putting your own alkaline batteries in them. A line in the middle was mentioned. That's because there's a battery storage in the bottom half. The line does not show when they're on the table. They will fit different size holders. If the candle is too thin, you just wrap tissue or part of a cotton ball around the bottom, and it stays firm in the candle holder. The LED battery in the control is included. They can flicker or not. They really looked pretty at a luncheon table. So glad I got them.
