Each line is independent with 98 programming options; 7 watering frequency (every 8, 12, 24 hours and every 2, 3, 5, 7 days) and 14 watering duration (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 15, 20, 30, 60 or 90 minutes). Programs can be set with immediate or delayed activation. Backlit LCD screen allow easy reading of settings even at night. Both outlets can be set to irrigate simultaneously or sequentially. A 5 minute preset manual override allows to water between cycles or to stop programs without altering them. Requires 2 AA alkaline batteries (not included); settings are retained for 2 minutes when batteries are replaced. Built-in stainless steel filter traps harmful contaminants. The 3/4-Inch tap connector comes with a pivoting ring nut for easy access to the unit when on faucet. The Claber 8488 Dual Select Advanced Push-Button Digital Water Timer with Two Outlets appears to be well made. The valves close completely even when used with items like a mister and a dripper which have high back pressure. Some other brands won't completely turn off with high back pressure devices. The maximum run time is 90 minutes but the program can be activated as often as three times per day. It is a bit difficult to install or replace the batteries.
