The APCTART2 is a cycle timer controller with day and night detection. It works to control any application requiring a device to be turned on and off at precise intervals. This timer has a wide range of uses including controlling hydroponic pumps, CO2 injection, turning on and off exhaust fans, misters and more. The cycle timer is adjustable for operation during the day, during the night, or all of the time (24 hours). We added a Memory-lock feature which will lock the set points into memory for consistent performance, even if the knobs are accidently bumped.

Analog devices (like this) are not known for being ultra-precise. Add to that what appears to be a logarithmic implementation and you have a great device with questionable settings. Every device could be just a bit off from settings shown on the dial.I needed a 1 minute on, 4 minutes off cycle. I set my phone to a stopwatch and used the lap function to see how far off the setting was and adjust accordingly. And yeah, the 4 minute one took a while. Once done I used a permanent marker to identify the real 1 and 4 for that cycle timer.
